在收获的季节里，华外I-EP于2024年9月29日再次迎来了年度课程说明会的盛大召开。这一盛会不仅是学校与家庭之间沟通的桥梁，更是展现I-EP教育理念与课程特色的重要窗口。活动旨在通过深入交流与精彩展示，帮助家长们更加全面、细致地了解I-EP的课程设置、教育理念以及孩子在校的学习生活。

今年，课程说明会以“学术优先”为新提出的主题，受到了广泛的关注与期待。学校不仅在课程设置上进行了一系列创新与优化，更在特色课程构建与IB优势凸显上迈出了坚实的步伐。

In the golden season of autumn, I-EP successfully hosted its annual curriculum briefing on September 29, 2024. This grand event serves not only as a bridge of communication between the school and families but also as a key window to showcase the I-EP’s educational philosophy and curriculum features. The goal of the event was to provide parents with a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the I-EP’s curriculum, educational approach, and their children's school life through in-depth exchanges and exciting presentations.

This year, the theme of the briefing was “Academic First,” a new focus that drew wide attention and anticipation. The school has not only introduced a series of innovations and optimizations in its curriculum design but has also made solid progress in highlighting its unique offerings and strengths in the IB framework. 

学术优先不仅仅意味着追求考卷上的高分，更重要的是传承和发扬IB教育理念的核心精神——培养全面发展的学生。黄校长特别强调，I-EP的使命在于塑造具备中英文双语沟通能力的学生，让他们在具备全球视野的同时，能够根植于中国文化，继承和发扬传统价值观。除此之外，I-EP还注重培养学生的创新能力，鼓励他们不断追求卓越，并在终身学习的道路上保持热情与动力。

课程说明会在秀丽剧院正式拉开帷幕，华外总校副校长兼创新融合部校长黄彦女士首先围绕“学术优先”这一主题进行演讲，深入阐释了I-EP对学术追求的独特理解。

The curriculum briefing officially kicked off in the Show Theater, where Huawai Vice Principal and Head of the Innovation and Integration Department, Ms. Huang Yan, delivered the opening speech. Centered around the theme of “Academic First,” she elaborated on I-EP’s unique understanding of academic achievement.

I-EP不仅注重学术上的追求，更致力于培养学生在全球化背景下的双语理解与解决问题的能力。I-EP的愿景是塑造能够用双语探究、思考并解决全球性问题的未来领导者。刘校长特别强调，本年度的核心目标不仅是实现学术卓越，还要构建一个紧密联系的学习社区，让每个学生都能在集体中找到归属感和动力。他进一步解释道，I-EP以IB课程为基础，同时深度融合国家义务教育课程大纲，这为学生的思想和行为提供了坚实的理论与实践基础。此外，他还宣布了对PYP和MYP学生设立的新的、更高的学术标准，鼓励学生们通过积极探索与实践，不断挑战自我、追求卓越。

创新融合部副校长兼I-EP项目负责人刘伟先生接力发言，他也围绕“学术优先”这一主题进行了深入的探讨。

Following Ms. Huang’s speech, Mr. Liu Wei, Vice Principal of the Innovation and Integration Department and Head of the I-EP program, took the stage to further explore the theme of “Academic First.”

在各个教室/会场内，各学科教师依次详细介绍了本学年的课程目标、教学内容、教学方法，以及评估标准与体系等。老师们通过具体的教学实例，深入浅出地讲解了如何通过课堂活动和项目驱动学生的成长与发展。家长们则全神贯注地聆听，不时做着笔记，并在互动环节积极提问，进一步了解孩子未来的学习规划。他们对新学年充满期待，纷纷表示期待与学校紧密合作，共同助力孩子的成长。

Inside each classroom/meeting room,  teachers gave detailed presentations on the year’s learning goals, teaching content, methodologies, and assessment systems. Through vivid teaching examples, the teachers explained how classroom activities and project-based learning drive students' growth and development. Parents listened attentively, taking notes and actively asking questions during the interactive sessions to gain a deeper understanding of their children's future learning plans. They expressed excitement about the new school year and looked forward to working closely with the school to support their children's development.

在一对一答疑时间，家长们纷纷抓住这一宝贵机会，与班主任和学科老师进行了深入的个别交流。老师们耐心解答家长们提出的各种问题，从学习方法到课程安排，从学业规划到心理健康，无一不体现出I-EP教师团队的专业与用心。通过一对一答疑，进一步加深了家长对学校的了解与信任，同时也为孩子的成长提供了更加精准与个性化的支持。

The final part of the event was the one-on-one consultation session. Parents eagerly took advantage of this valuable opportunity to engage in in-depth conversations with homeroom and subject teachers. The teachers patiently addressed all the parents' concerns, from learning methods and curriculum arrangements to academic planning and mental health, showcasing the professionalism and dedication of the I-EP teaching team. These one-on-one consultations not only deepened mutual understanding and trust between the school and families but also provided more precise support and guidance for each child's growth.

此次说明会不仅让家长们对I-EP的教育理念与课程设置有了更加全面而深入的了解，更为家校合作共育奠定了坚实的基础。我们相信，在全体师生的共同努力下，I-EP的学子们定能在学术优先的道路上不断前行，成为未来社会的栋梁之才。

The event offered parents a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of I-EP’s educational philosophy and curriculum design, laying a solid foundation for future school-family collaboration. We are confident that with the collective efforts of all students and staff, I-EP students will continue to progress on the path of academic first and become pillars of society in the future.
